Knee Pain

Knee pain is a very common problem. As it is a major joint that helps with leg function such as running, jumping, and walking; it becomes under a lot of stress over time. Therefore pain can arise from a number of sources such as cartilage damage, ligament or tendon injury, soft tissue tightness, and arthritis. Added stress on the knee joint can result from weakness around the hips, or flat feet. This is due to the change in biomechanics of how the knee joint moves, therefore creates extra stress through specific areas of the knee which becomes weaker and painful over time.
If you have knee pain we can arrange for a thorough assessment that not only looks at your knee, but also assesses the strength and movement of your hips and feet to see where the source of pain is coming from.
